<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>&#8211; <\/strong><strong>\u0628\u064a\u062a\u064a \u0647\u0646\u0627\u060c \u0623\u0631\u0636\u064a \u0647\u0646\u0627\u060c \u0648\u0644\u0646 \u0646\u0631\u062d\u0644<\/strong><strong>!<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I was born and raised here , I&#8217;ve lived all my life here.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>As I grew up , I was always in a state of fear of being evicted from my house, especially since the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood is one of the most neighborhoods in Jerusalem that it&#8217;s people are hreatened with eviction and displacement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I used to ask myself everyday, Where are we going to go?!my whole life is in Jerusalem..I cannot imagine one day passing without wandering its streets.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What I feared all my life happened in 2009, as Jewish settlers took over half of my house under the pretext of building without a permit.Today, we are facing the courts decision to evict us from the second half of the house, along with 11 other families!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We were given 30 days to leave the house, but our lawyer has filed an appeal with the district court .<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Occupation Court justified its ruling in favor of the settlement associations under the pretext of the statute of limitations, as more than 30 years have passed since settlers claimed and registered this land.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Therefore, all courts refused to discuss ownership of the land, or to examine the validity of the koshan and the registration with the settlement associations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The story of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood began in 1956, after the Jordanian government represented by the Ministry of Construction and Development and the Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) signed an agreement to provide housing for 28 refugee families from different areas of historic Palestine, in exchange for their abandoning of the relief cards.
